I knew Edith for over eight years, from when she lived in Sheringham and the rest of her life in Brooklands. She was a very special lady and we clicked straight away when we met. Despite the challenges of her illness she never lost her spark and never forgot my name, there were very few occasions when she couldn’t raise a smile during my visits. Early on in our friendship we tackled crosswords together, she had an amazing vocabulary and didn’t ever lose that, I miss her already but don’t regret her passing, she was ready to go, rest in peace, Edith

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
